Questions you should ask before you sign up for Pilates Instructor Training and Certification...
- Teacher affiliated with a recognised Pilates Training and Certifying Organisation?
- Are there any requirements for entry into the program?
- Will you be learning Mat Work and/or equipment work?
- How long is the training?
- What sort of supervised practical work and training is required?
- What sort of theoretical and practical exams are there?
- Is there a physiotherapist involved in the course?
- Is the format of the class based on classical or evolved Pilates?
- Does the teacher have a background in any other movement study?
- What sort of special needs training will you receive?
- Is there a First Aid requirement to get your certification?
- Is a mentor available to run problems past?
- Do they offer membership of a professional body to graduates?
- Do they advise on indemnity insurance? Equipment safety?
